5 Reasons I'm Worried For Spider-Man: No Way Home
Updated: Jan 7, 2022
The fans anticipation for the third movie of Tom Holland's portrayal as Spider-Man, might have some problems.

1. Tom Holland
After Far From Home, Peter Parker's identity was revealed to the world. My expectations after I watched FFH was how will Spider-Man survive that crisis, I was already thinking of maybe Sinister Six movie will be next (Vulture, Scorpion, Mysterio plus other villains) to hunt down Spider-Man for the please of the world from the Hoax news from The Daily Bugle & Mysterio himself, Quentin Beck able to survive is a key in a Sinister Six movie. So that's a lot, for just one superhero to take, and for a teenager like Spider-Man to take that alone would've been more cool. What I also liked about the MCU Spider-Man is the new villains introduced and their motives. And the 3rd Spider-Man MCU movie would've been fine if it was not about the Multiverse. I feel bad for Tom Holland, it's his movie but the attention of everyone are on the easter eggs and fan service for NWH. And also, this could've been the movie where it does not have any influence with Tony Stark. His character development of being an Avenger throughout the MCU and being able to build around that on his own storyline.
2. Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield
It's nice, specially for Andrew Garfield who might be the most passionate actor who embodied Spider-Man, for him to be Spidey again is very nice. But I just hope these two wont be in the whole movie, them giving a hand to MCU Spidey is probably enough. But who knows maybe the story will be awesome. But to think about it this was just a fan suggestions back then, multiple photoshop fan arts inspired by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and for it to happen doesn't really make any sense or is really needed.
3. Villains
Seeing the old villains again just won't bring excitement, because we've seen it before. New villains and new stories could've been much much better. Vulture was fresh and great because of his needs and motivation, Mysterio's timing after Endgame of taking advantage on Peter was very interesting. And to followup a movie that could've finished what Mysterio started would've made it more interesting and also and opportunity maybe to introduce a new villain for the fans, and to also elevate MCU Spider-Man even more and improve his story. Though as seen on the trailer, the movie will still center on Peter Parker's crisis as Spider-Man. I don't know the villains of other universe will have a sense of being involve with that.
4. Fan Service
This is probably more on Sony's idea, but as Tom Holland said in an interview, if the Spider-Man was unsuccessful to return to the MCU, Spider-Man will feature in a Kraven the Hunter movie. But since No Way Home played out, I don't know if this project is in discussion when Disney/Marvel were trying to make Spider-Man stay in the MCU. But Sony wants that Avengers type of money. When you hear Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Tobey in this movie, any moviegoer will probably watch this. And that is probably the target audience of Sony for this movie since they will receive the 90% of profit even though Marvel Studios produced the movie but will only get 10%. The only edge for Marvel is that they can still borrow Tom Holland's Spider-Man for 1-2 MCU movies. And Sony wants a home run for this movie and No Way Home's Multiverse story will really attract people to watch it. But seeing cool easter eggs and nostalgia hopefully still uplifts Tom Holland's character as Spider-Man. This is his movie still and this is what makes me worried. I still hope No Way Home will become the best Spider-Man movie ever.
5. Marketing & Security
We got one poster and one trailer a month before the premiere, already a TON of leaks are already popping out. And it just ruins the experience now already, my excitement for this movie is no where near as excited as Infinity War or Endgame, hell even I was more stoked for Homecoming. Compared to this which, I already know what I'm expecting. Three Spider-Mans vs the old Spidey Villains woohooo... But that was the expectations before we got the first trailer. The leaks are just out of control and Sony or Marvel are probably having a very bad time facing this. It's just awful, imagine if we already had an idea Cap lifting Mjolnir & the dusted heroes coming back during Avengers: Endgame, it would ruin our experience. The surprise and unpredictability of Endgame made it much much much more superior compared to this modern time superhero flicks.
